Enable/Disable password or key based authentication

How to enable or disable ssh password or ssh key-based authentication to remote servers in ezsh shell?


This feature encompasses the ability to deactivate or activate the password and key authorization for SSH access to remote devices tailored for Ezeelogin users.


This feature is available from Ezeelogin version 7.37.0. How to upgrade the Ezeelogin version to the latest?


  1. To enable password-based authentication and disable key-based authentication from the gateway server to the remote devices,  navigate to Settings -> General -> Authentication, and then enable Remote SSH Password Authentication.

2. To enable key-based authentication and disable password-based authentication from the gateway server to the remote devices, then enable Remote SSH Public Key Authentication.

3. Enable Remote SSH Password Authentication and Remote SSH Public Key Authentication to allow both key-based and password-based authentication for SSH to remote servers.

4. Disabling Remote SSH Password Authentication and Remote SSH Public Key Authentication will disallow both password and key-based authentication access to remote server.
